It’s the last Bank Holiday until Christmas, it feels like summer is coming to an end, normal life is continuing to be more normal and the final Eat Out To Help Out is on Monday.
Here’s a round up of what is going on in Sheffield over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
Exciting news, this weekend sees a welcome return for Church: Temple of Fun. The vegan bar and restaurant will be opening up for the first time since March on Saturday having gone through a lot of changes. Whilst you spent lockdown baking bread and binging through Netflix, the guys at Church have not only had a renovation job but they have also built a new kitchen team.
We can’t wait to see what they’ve been up to!
On the other side of the river Heist Brew Co. will be hosting their second Beats & Beers event at their brewery (work in progress) on Neepsend Lane from Friday to Sunday.
Expect craft beer, banging’ burgers from Slap and Pickle and good times. Full details here.
Just up the road from Heist, it’s Weekend at SteelYard Kelham. The family friendly street food event takes place on Saturday from 12pm till 11pm and on Sunday 12pm till 10pm with live music, DJs, great drinks and amazing food. The last event which took place earlier in the month was huge so get down early as places are limited due to social distancing. DM Weekend on Facebook to reserve a table. Decks have a strong line-up of DJs throughout the weekend and on Sunday they will be launching their new Sunday Club.
Kelham is going big this Bank Holiday Weekend, not only do you have all that but Peddler are doing a BBQ special on Sunday and Monday. If that wasn’t good enough, on Monday they have signed up for Eat Out To Help Out so food and soft drinks are half price! Full details here.
Over at Victoria Quays Dorothy Pax are having a mini music festival from Friday to Monday. Full details here whilst on Sunday Sharrow Vale Market returns following cancelations due to COVID-19. The market takes place from 12pm – 4pm with food, drink, treats and gifts on Sharrow Vale Road.
It’s safe to say that the Eat Out To Help Out campaign has been a huge success, if you’ve tried booking a last minute table you’ll understand. It has been so successful that on Monday, the last day that you can save 50% on food and soft drinks Kommune are opening especially for it and Urban Choola are having an Indian street food afternoon special!
