Abbeydale Road’s zero waste shop, The Bare Alternative have announced plans to reopen from this Friday.
On Facebook they wrote.
By nature, it is a very hands-on experience when shopping with us which is why we regretfully had to change how we operate when the pandemic started. However, we are now prepared to relaunch self-service and use of your own containers with social distancing measures in place, while continuing to provide a wide range of dried foods, household and personal care liquid refills and everyday sustainable products at affordable prices.
To get back into the flow of self-service we will be open Friday 26th 10am-6pm and Saturday 27th 10:30am-5pm as a trial to make sure everything is working well, and then from the week starting Tuesday 30th the following opening hours and schedule will be in place:
Tuesday: *10am-2pm* 2pm-6pm
Wednesday: 10am-1:30pm 2pm-6pm
Thursday: *10am-2pm* 2pm-6pm
Friday: 10am-1:30pm 2pm-6pm
Saturday: *10am-10:30am* 10:30am-5pm
*ONLINE ORDER COLLECTION ONLY* – we will also be packing orders during these times so we need full access around the shop which makes social distancing difficult.
Prior to opening they will be running online guides on Wednesday and Thursday so you can prepare yourself and spend less time in the shop. Wednesday’s event will show you how to use the container weighing system and Thursday’s event will show you around the new layout of the shop.
Please respect social distancing measures that have been put in place, they have been introduced for your safety and others.
