Guide to the Best Brunch in Sheffield

Brunch is the most important meal of the weekend, luckily there’s some amazing spots in Sheffield, serving classics such as the full English and eggs benedict but you can come across a few nice surprises too.

Here’s our guide to the best brunch in Sheffield.

The Chakra Lounge (City Centre)

Chakra Lounge breakfast

The Chakra Lounge in Fitzalan Square serve up Indian dishes with a British influence. Their gluten-free full English breakfast is the opposite, it’s the classic we love with Masala beans to spice up your day.

The Depot Bakery (Kelham)

Depot eggs

Kelham’s Depot Bakery have become icons in Sheffield and brunch is where they make dreams come true. The eggs benedict is on point and it never disappoints.

The bakery will be opening a new cafe in Hillsborough Park’s Coach House in early 2022.

Joni (Oughtibridge)

Joni Croque Monsieur

After a few years rest, Joni was revived during lockdown. The former Crookes cafe found a new home in Oughtibridge and quickly became a neighbourhood favourite.

Joni is worth a visit, especially when they’ve got specials like this Prosciutto, Caramelised Red onion chutney and Blue cheese Croque Monsieur.

Marmadukes (Ecclesall Road)

Marmadukes muffin

Whether you’re visiting the original Marmadukes (Norfolk Row), their second city centre branch on Cambridge Street or their Ecclesall Road spot, you know you’re in for a top brunch, it’s what they do.

We’re all about The Sorting Office on Ecclesall Road and the in-house bakery, especially when they are teaming up freshly baked muffins with locally produced sausages, Neals Yard coolea cheese, seasonal greens, a fried egg & dijon mustard.

Tamper (City Centre)

Tamper brunch

A Sheffield brunch list wouldn’t be complete without Tamper, in the heart of the city centre. Located at the picturesque Sellers Wheel, a place that is easy to relax in and catch up with pals.

Brunch doesn’t need to be savoury, especially when it’s as pretty as this french toast with raspberries, cinnamon & vanilla gelato combo.
