Where is the best mexican food in Sheffield?

Forget about Taco Bell, Sheffield has some great spots serving up authentic and fusion takes on Mexican food that will make your tastebuds explode.

Street Food Chef in the city centre and Sharrow Vale Road is a Sheffield institution. They’ve been wrapping up tasty ingredients and serving up burritos through out the city since 2009.

From selling on streets to opening restaurants in Sheffield’s neighbourhoods, Street Food Chef have built up a reputation for delivering the goods.

The goal for the family business was to offer a healthy alternative to fast food (which was extremely rare in 2009) but they’ve gone on to become burrito kings (they also do tacos and quesadillas).

The best kind of holidays are the once that bring inspo. Pina, in Kelham was born out of a trip to Mexico. 

A derelict factory was transformed into a Mexican influenced bar that opened in 2018, it has become a go-to for tacos and Mezcal specialists. 

The tacos might look small but they are jam packed with fresh and vibrant ingredients that will leave you satisfied (the tortillas are homemade too!). Take Mexican vibes to the next level with some churros and a tequila based cocktail.

El Paso has been in Sheffield since ’96 and currently sits at the bottom of The Moor cooking up Mexican and Italian dishes.

Decked out in Latin American interior and an open kitchen, expect a fiery atmosphere to go along with the authentic Mexican food, fuelled with chilli’s and spices.
