2020 hasn’t gone the way anybody expected, thankfully CityGrab launched just in time to help the city.
The food delivery service by City Taxi‘s had been trialling it out earlier in the year. As lockdown was enforced on March 23rd Sheffield’s bars, restaurants and cafes were forced to close and self isolation was recommended.
It’s mad to think that just a few weeks ago we were only allowed out for essentials and relied on delivery services.
Thankfully CityGrab were here to bring food to doors safely which not only helped the restaurants who otherwise would have had to completely close but it also gave their taxi drivers work as nobody was getting taxi’s either!
In just a few months CityGrab have generated £2 million for our local economy and raised over £57,000 for NHS frontline staff and local charities after donating delivery fees.
