Council offer grants to boost Night Time Economy

It’s hard to find an industry not affected by COVID-19 and the lockdown however, many have been able to slowly return to some sort of sustainable life.

The hospitality sector hasn’t been so lucky and the future doesn’t look great…  To help prevent the closure of more struggling small, independent businesses Sheffield City Council are giving out grants of £10,000.

To claim the grant businesses must be small (under 50 members of staff), independent (not part of a chain or a franchise), operate after 7pm and have been trading on 11th March.

This will be a great boost for the likes of restaurants, night clubs, music venues, pubs, cafes, cinemas, theatres, wine bars, casinos, bingo halls and foodhalls/courts who have all been struggling to keep going.

Applications must be submitted by 10th August.
