Happy 17th May!
Firstly, we want to thank everyone who has been out and supported our independent businesses since they’ve been allowed to reopen, those first two weeks were nuts. A special round of applause for anybody who’s been out in the last couple of weeks, let’s be honest, this has not beer garden weather, you guys drinking pints in the rain, you are dedicated to the cause. The heroes are the staff who have had to adapt not only returning to work after months on furlough but having to work through sun, rain, hail and thunder in one shift, great job guys!
Today is the big day when we’re allowed indoors, where we don’t need to wear ten layers to enjoy a meal out and we can have a pint inside.
Over the next week the majority of Sheffield’s cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars and attractions fully reopen (with social distancing measures in place) for the first time this year. If you have the choice between a nationwide chain or a Sheffield independent please shop local, these guys need your money more than ever.
