Nobody chooses to be homeless. A set of unfortunate circumstances make it happen and it can often feel impossible to get out of it. Thankfully, Emmaus, a small charity based near Victoria Quays is giving formerly homeless people a chance for a better life.
They do this by not only providing a bed, they’ve created a community and offer workshops to teach skills and a job which gives individuals a sense of purpose and a new outlook on life.
Emmaus have a shop which sells upcycled furniture, made on-site by the residents. To date they’ve transformed 160 lives.
