Gage Gallery

Gage Gallery is back with its first exhibition in over a year

Like the majority of places, Kelham’s Gage Gallery has been closed for the past 14 months but lockdown has drawn creativity out of many, including 3 KIAC artists who will be showcasing their work with a launch event on Friday 28th May.

Reimagined Places, the first exhibition at Gage Gallery since the COVID-19 pandemic see Kelham Island Arts Collective members Julian Wright, Peter Smith and Kieran Flynn display paintings of illusory landscapes and simulated cities, clearly something from creative minds when put in isolation.

These 3 artists are wildly different in styles in their work but they share the common coping mechanisms of lockdown, art.

Reimagined Places takes place at Gage Gallery from Saturday 29th May to Sunday 6th June.

The launch event starts at 7pm on Friday 28th May. Social distancing measures will be in place throughout the exhibition.
