Age UK have signed a lease in partnership with the Sheffield City Council to redevelop Hillsborough Park’s Old Coach House and the Potting Shed.
Work is set to start next month on the grade II listed building which will be converted into a dementia friendly cafe and community hub.
With help from the National Lottery Heritage Fund the charity and council will have the facilities to hold regular events and activities for the community, with a focus on older people suffering from loneliness whilst the cafe will be a great addition for those visiting Hillsborough Park.
