KINCA (Kelham Island and Neepsend Community Alliance), a group of local residents have come together to pay tribute to Naomi Colcomb, a 28 year old who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident.
The volunteer-led group have used money from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund to create Naomi’s Corner in the area where Naomi took time out by the River Don before the 2018 incident
Naomi’s Corner has been created to honour Naomi’s passion for connecting with others, nature and ones-self with benches, a garden and a book swap set-up in a safe and peaceful place.
Naomi’s Corner will be installed by KINCA & volunteers in a couple of weeks. Keep an eye on KINCA’s Facebook page if you’d like to get involved.
Visit KINCA.org to find out what else the community alliance do for the award winning neighbourhood.
