Leadmill start planning for life after COVID

Sheffield’s iconic live music venue The Leadmill is crossing its fingers for a lively 2021. Since March the venue has faced financial fears when doors were closed during the first lockdown and tried its hardest to bring the magic of live music with social distancing gigs.

It’s unlikely that we’ll see a return for gigs as we remember them until the summer and The Leadmill have booked Patawawa for June. The Matlock trio are a lively bunch so this will be the perfect gig to return to!

In the meantime The Leadmill, which turned 40 this year will try to give that live experience back with more social distanced gigs. It might not be the same but neither is eating a takeaway at home compared to a meal in a restaurant.

Hopefully restrictions ease in February as The Skints are booked in for a social distanced gig with measures in place for it to go ahead safely. This beats a live steam on YouTube, right?

Let’s hope these vaccines work so we can enjoy live music again like we used to.
