Ok, Infirmary Road isn’t exactly Kelham but we’re excited for Luke’s Place and it deserves to be included in Kelham’s buzzing food scene.
Opening on the 4th September, Luke’s Place will offer a high quality tasting menu in a relaxed setting.
The concept comes from Luke Reynolds, a former sous chef for Tom Kerridge who is hands on throughout. Luke had been looking for a place of his own for some time before stumbling on a former take away on Infirmary Road at the start of lockdown.
He’s transformed it into an intimate restaurant by himself, it’s his name on the door for a reason, he’ll be the one cooking, serving and entertaining his guests.
For just £30 (or £50 with drinks) you’ll get a 7 course tasting menu that he’s curated himself, which will change seasonally.
The idea is to run 2 hours sittings, sat around the open kitchen and it’s an interactive experience. Unfortunately due to social distancing it will be a table situation for the time being but either way, Luke’s Place will be an exciting new venture to visit.
