Magid Magid to open 'Naomi’s Corner'

Former Lord Mayor Magid Magid is set to open Naomi’s Corner this Saturday (14th August) at 1pm.

Naomi’s Corner is a new public green space for Kelham Island’s community, installed by KINCA earlier this year. The area, at the end of the Upper Don Walk, that runs alongside the River Don was created in memory of Naomi Colcomb.

The space that includes benches, plants and a community book library embodies Naomi’s passions and offers people a chance to take a break from their hectic lives, chat to others, connect with nature or swap books.

As well as Magid they’ll be music by local musicians and free refreshments will be available including Chai made using Naomi’s famous recipe!

KINCA need your help with refreshments. If you can make/bake/buy any food to donate let them know via Facebook or email craig@kinca.org.

Planning to attend? Let them know here so that they can prepare enough refreshments.
