Exciting news Nether Edge, you’re getting a new restaurant/bar/shop. Bench on Nether Edge Road will be opening later in the year, serving up seasonal produce in a relaxed setting.
Having already ran pop-up events across the city, Jack Wakelin and Tom Aronica (two of the guys behind Public) have found a permanent home in Nether Edge where they want to create a space to enjoy great in a relaxed setting.
With a tight budget (for obvious reasons) the pair have set up a crowd funding campaign so that they can afford the best ventilation and extraction to ensure you don’t leave smelling like you’ve danced by a fire.
Don’t worry, they’ll reward you for your donations with tees & totes or intimate one-off events when they open up. Feeling generous? Well, you could be in with some real treats, a £2000 donation will get Bench to you (they’ll come to your home, feed up to 20 and wash up afterwards!) whilst £5000 will get you a £6000 gift card…
