Plaid & Lace to pop up in John Lewis store in November

“I’m really excited to get there and start meeting everyone, usually when I’m at markets etc people come because they love vintage but here I’m expecting it to be a different customer demographic and I can’t wait to introduce people to vintage clothing and to help them start to add vintage pieces to their wardrobes”

Hayley started the business in 2018 when she started selling off some of her own collection “I’ve worn vintage for as long as I can remember so had quite a collection and needed to make some space so started selling and that’s when I created Plaid and Lace”

Everything Hayley sells is handpicked by herself, she doesn’t bulk buy “it’s probably my favourite part of the job, going around to different parts of the country and finding these special gems.”

Hayley strongly believes in sustainable fashion and is happy to see sustainable and vintage fashion move more into the forefront of people thinking “It’s definitely become a lot more popular which is a good thing. I want to make vintage clothing affordable, accessible and wearable to everyone and this is what I’m always thinking about when I buy stock. It’s not necessarily trend lead for me, it’s all about those special items that will stay in your wardrobes for years to come”
