Pound's Park

Pound's Park - A greener city centre

Following public consultation earlier in the year, Sheffield City Council have submitted plans for Pound’s Park, in Sheffield City Centre as part of the Heart of the City 2 development.

Green space has been a lifeline for many during lockdown as it gave people an opportunity to get out of their own four walls and the council have recognised the importance of this. Sheffield is a city blessed with parks, as well as the neighbouring Peak District, however the city centre is largely built up, if plans are approved Pound’s Park will give breathing space for those who live, work or visit.

Located in the centre of the Heart of the City development between Rockingham Street, Wellington Street and Carver Street the park will be easily accessible and offer space to relax and/or get active with climbing features and water play areas for all ages and abilities whilst a kiosk will be on-site for all essentials (coffee, snacks etc…).

We are really excited with the Heart of the Development and Pound’s Park will no doubt be a great addition to an evolving city centre.
