Sheffield Beer Week is back for another year and that’s plenty of events coming, particularly in Castlegate, arguably the centre of it all.
Hop Hideout (the bottle shop in Kommune) owner Jules is also the founder of Sheffield Beer Week so there’s plenty of exciting events taking place there whilst The Crow Inn (ok, it’s West Bar but that’s part of our Castlegate boundaries) is a bit of a super pub and they’ve got some mega beers coming in.
Here’s just a pick of events for you.
Beer and Dessert Pairings at The Crow Inn
Sunday 8th March 7:30pm – 10pm £18
When we say The Crow Inn were getting some tasty beers in, we weren’t kidding, especially if you’ve got a sweet tooth.
They’ve collaborated with the kitchen team at The Rutland to pair desserts with beers, we’re talking indulgence at its finest here.

Mikkeller and Warpigs Takeover at The Crow Inn
Friday 13th March 12pm – close
Danish brewery Mikkeller don’t do bad beer, neither does The Crow so this pairing makes total sense. It’s no surprise that they’ve been planning this since The Crow opened last year.
Thom, the UK ambassador for Mikkeller will be talking about the beers in the evening. You might want to take a notepad, There’s plenty of ABV’s double figures for this one.

Sheffield Mikkeller Running Club 5th Birthday Shakeout
Saturday 14th March 11:30am – 3pm
Jog off that hangover with a 5k run from Hop Hideout to Saint Mars of the Desert Brewery in Attercliffe for a drink or two before returning to Hop Hideout for the Siren x Salt Joint Tap Takeover.
