It’s that time of year again, Sheffield Beer Week!

You might be thinking, isn’t every week Sheffield Beer Week? We get you, we live in the valley of beer but Sheffield Beer Week is all about celebrating beer and our pubs with special events.

Obviously there’s loads going on, it’s beer and Sheffield, what did you expect? 

There’s a hive of activity in Kelham, here’s a few highlights (annoyingly they are all on the same day, it’s possible to do them all, it will be a messy one!).

Pub and Industrial Heritage Walk

Thursday 12th March 4pm – 6:30pm £3.50

Start your sesh off with a guided walk around Kelham & Neepsend with the highly knowledgable Dave Pickersgill.

The 1.2 mile walk starts at The Fat Cat before heading around the historical area, learn about its past & end up at The Sheffield Brewery Co. with a tour of the brewery and a drink.

Magic Rock Tap Takeover & Meet the Brewer at The Millowners Arms

Thursday 12th March 6pm – 11:30pm

Huddersfield’s Magic Rock Brewing have become one of the UK’s most celebrated breweries in recent years, you can even find their cans at Tesco!

Want to find out the tricks behind Magic Rock? Get yourself down to The Millowners Arms on Thursday 12th March to meet head brewer Stu.

There’ll be 6 Magic Rock beers on tap to taste too and live music from Death and Taxes.

Battle of the Beers at Shakespeares

Thursday 12th March 7pm – 10:30pm £20

Think you know your beer? Think again, the annual Battle of the Beers at Shakespeares bring together some of Sheffield’s beer experts to source the finest ales for you to taste and vote for the winner.

This year it’s boys v girls with teams made up from Shakespeares, The Rutland Arms, The Crow Inn & Beer Central so you know you are in for a treat. 

8 incredible beers (1/3’s & 1/2’s) for £20.
