We’re a few days into lockdown 2.0 and we’ve adjusted to this ‘new normal’ once again. Unfortunately we can’t live on takeaways every day for the next few weeks and you’ll start to run out of essentials.
Thankfully Sheffield is blessed with independent shops, suppliers and services that will help you get through these times without having to deal with busy supermarkets.
The Moor Market is still open 6 days a week in the city centre with butchers, fresh fruit and veg, fish, beers, bakeries and more, all at great prices. If you don’t fancy a journey into town 3Miles and ChefChefStore will bring the market to your door!
You can find the finest cuts of meat at John Crawshaws Butchers in Hillsborough, Roney’s on Sharrow Vale Road, Hebdige in Wincobank or Moss Valley Fine Meats and the freshest fish at Sharrow Vale Road’s J H Mann Finest Fishmongers.
There’s plenty of great shops across the city selling locally sourced produce, zero waste produce and whole foods including Kelham Deli, The Bare Alternative on Abbeydale Road, The Green Shop in Wadsley, Zeds in Nether Edge, Beanies in Crookesmoor, Porter Brook Deli on Sharrow Vale Road, The Incredible Nutshell on Chesterfield Road, PJ Taste in Attercliffe, Barra Organics on Sharrow Vale Road, Bench in Nether Edge, Beeches Of Walkley in Walkley and the Unwrapped Shop in Crookes whilst Sheffield Made is a great collective of local producers and don’t forget about Our Cow Molly!
These independent businesses need your money to help them into 2021 and in return you’ll receive great, locally sourced produce.
